The Holidays family getaway

The Holidays Vintage Trailers
Isn’t this the most adorable looking trailer?

San Clemente you stole my heart! We stayed at this little getaway with our friends a few months ago. This campground is a must to visit if you are a So. Cal resident and wish to get away from your daily hustle and bustle of life! I stumbled across their page when I was trying to reserve The Cottages at Crystal Cove beach (another place we have our eye on to visit!). I love exploring beach areas that are within a 30 min drive from us. If you would like to explore this place, here is the link to the California page if you want to take a look. Make sure to type The Holidays vintage trailers on the search tab.

I have a nostalgia to family vacations that remind me of my childhood, ironically these vintage trailers have nothing to with my childhood. Both my parents are Mexican nationals and I spent most of my Summers and holidays in Guadalajara, MX. Maybe it’s because I always wondered what it would feel like to go camping and have the traditional American vacation (whatever that may be!).

This beauty is called the Roadrunner.

So together with our friends, The Yeaton’s, we booked our two nights in these adorable trailers for St. Patrick’s Day weekend. The trailers are located in San Clemente state beach. This is an RV park on top of a mountain cliff overlooking the beach.  There are other trailers and families, which makes it fun for the little ones to make friends.
We had such a wonderful time! These are just a few memories we captured during our stay.

We brought a kite and the kids had fun flying it. They wanted to see how high the kite could go.

The beach is a short five minute walk from the trailers, we packed a lunch and let the kids catch the waves. The Dads were on kid watch while we  enjoyed the sun and did some people watching. It is a favorite spot for locals and you will see many surfers in the water.

Both my girls were fluid swimmers by age five, I wanted to make sure they were comfortable in water at a young age. We are truly lucky to have the beach so close to us!

That being said, a variety of bathing suits are a must in our household. You know?! So we can be ready for our next beach day! 😉 I am always on the hunt for cute and bold styles for my girls.

Preparing our Leprechaun trap

Since St. Patrick’s was the next day, we had the little ones create a trap to catch a Leprechaun. We had no luck in catching one, but the kids had fun creating it. They even got a special treat left behind from the Leprechaun and It was good bonding time with their friends. There are many benches by the trailers, games and other activities the kids can get into. But I do recommend bringing bikes, skates etc… I wish I would have done so; this would have kept my kids busy.

The Rinaldi’s

We had a great time hanging out with our good friends and hope we can do this as a yearly tradition. I want my girls to have fond memories of their parents, our good friends, these cute vintage trailers and how much fun they had catching those waves.

Thank you to our dear friends! We had a great time hanging out with you and making beautiful memories.
